Hello everyone!

In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to control our smoke simulation with custom velocity. You will see this is really easy with volume vop and simple math.

Hope you enjoy this one!

Intro PyroFx Part1

Tutorial

Hello everyone!

In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to emit smoke from a character and edit our pyro simulation the way we want. this video is the first part of a series about Pyro Simulations. On the next one we are going to learn how we can add custom velocity and make the smoke move the way we want. For now, let’s just understand how pyro solver works and how we change the type of smoke we have on our simulation.

Hope you enjoy this one!

Intro Cloth: Make and Simulate

Tutorial

Hi everyone and welcome to our second tutorial: into the pop net world part one.

I have decided to split this tutorial into different parts to keep things simple.

I want to share with you how I got into PopNet coming from Processing and X-Particles in Cinema4D. Instead of doing another popnet tutorial like fireworks or falling particles, I want to show you something different like recreating my Energy Flow project that I have done in Processing.

In this first part, we are going to understand the basic principles of programming and learn how to add and edit a simple noise force to our particles. Then we are going to generate trails to create these organic flows. Feel free to play with it and don’t forget to share with us your results!

Hope you enjoy!

Liquid Sand and Mix Fluids

Tutorial

To view this content, you must be a member of Doxia's Patreon at $5 or more

In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to use Particle or Popnet Knowledge inside fluid simulations.

You are going to see how easy it is to apply particle force that we already explored in other tutorials into fluid simulations and mix fluids with differents parameters like viscosity and density.

Hope you enjoy this one!

Intro Rigid Body Dynamics

Tutorial

Hi everyone. In this tutorial, we are going to learn the basics of Rigid Body Dynamics inside Houdini. If you come from Cinema4D, it will be really easy to understand the process.

You can do powerful and complex destruction systems with Rigid Body Dynamics and I hope this video will help you to get started with only a few clicks in the Shelf tools.

Hope you enjoy this tutorial!

Optical Flow with Flip Tank

Tutorial

Hi everyone. In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to use optical flow to control our fluid simulation. This technic can be used in different simulations like particles, fluids or smoke.

I want to say this tutorial is a follow up from the original one from Mark Fancher. Big thanks to him for making his awesome video about optical flow, where he is emitting fluids from the footage and using optical flow to control its velocity.

On this tutorial, we are going to explore a similar workflow but instead of emitting fluid, we are going to use the optical flow to control a flip tank like this Houdini example.

POP Grid

Tutorial

To view this content, you must be a member of Doxia's Patreon at $5 or more

Hey everyone! On this tutorial, we are going to learn how to emit particles and move them in a grid kinda like L-systems. If you have worked with x-particles, this work is similar to the xp-network modifier.

First, we are going to understand the concept and the math in 2D. then we will edit our system to work in 3D.

Our system will have different parameters that will allow us to have different results.

Hope you enjoy this tutorial and don’t forget to share your results with us!

Dancing Spheres

Tutorial

In this tutorial, we are going to learn how to emit particles and stick them to a moving surface, in our case a dancing character.

This tutorial was requested by one of our Patrons and it was a nice challenge to figure this out.

Hope you enjoy this tutorial and don’t forget to share your results with us!
